Drawing exhibition

Drawing exhibition 46 shades works of first year viscom students on 6th April 2022 This exhibition was conducted for three days. On the 6th other college students participated in the competition and visited the exhibition .On that day more than fifty students participated in the competition. On 7th school students were invited for the exhibition and they also participated in the competition. On 8th our college students were allowed to visit the exhibition and they also participated in Drawing competition .Prizes were given to first three winners and others were given participation certificates. Principal and Director felicitated on the opening day.

Karnataka Tour

Department of visual communication organized a study tour to Karnataka 7th to 9th may 2022

Wildlife Photography

The Department of Visual Communication organized wildlife photography ( Vandaloor Zoo ) for the 2nd year students on 13th March 2022.

Creative Wall Murals

Visual communication department corridor has been renovated with creative wall murals. It was inaugurated 28th August 2019 by our Honorable Secretary.

Course Outcomes (CO)

• Students will demonstrate a proficiency in the technical aspects of photography, including an understanding of camera controls, menu systems, exposure control, color temperature , white balance,ISO and image capture,

• Students will demonstrate a proficiency in the technical aspects of audio and video capture including an understanding of video stabilization techniques, audio capture strategies, recording equipment and post processing.

• Students will have knowledge of editing content for various forms of visual communication media, in both narrative and essay formats.

• Students will understand the foundational principles of design, especially in how to utilize design for visual communication media in a way that supports content.

• Students will be able to generate conceptual ideas and original content, and be able to articulate and convey those ideas to others.

They will be able to produce images that reflect their concepts/ideas by using an array of tools (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, 3d max.etc


Program Outcomes (PO)

Students in their program of study will be able to demonstrate a proficiency in knowledge of essential concepts of visual communication, including:

• Making sustained efforts to create the most effective use of visuals in the media, with the goal of accurately and fairly communication ideas and information to readers and viewers.

• Building upon a solid foundation of visual communication methods and research to expand the quality and effectiveness of their own creative work.

• Understanding and practicing the philosophy that content and not style is the paramount consideration in the gathering, selection and creation of excellent visual communication.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSO)

Students in their program of study will demonstrate the ability to apply the principles o visual communication, including:

• Utilizing the basic skills of writing, editing, photography, graphics, design and interactive media with sufficient expertise to compete for employment within the visual communication industry.

• Creatively using appropriate visual tools to professionally communicate important and interesting information in a timely manner to a well-defined audience.

• Possessing the skills necessary to adapt to changing technology found in the visual communication field.

• Students will have experience in researching techniques, designing, photography, creative writing, and project proposal process.

• Students will understand the foundational principles of design, especially in how to utilize design for visual communication media in a way that supports content.
