History

The Cunnan Innovation and Incubation cell was established in the year 2025 with the vision of nurturing a vibrant ecosystem that bridges the gap between ideas and impactful solutions. Originating a small initiative within the institution, it was created to respond to the growing need for structured support in innovation and startup development. Over the months , the cell has evolved into a dynamic hub, empowering students, faculty, and aspiring entrepreneurs to think creatively, collaborate across disciplines, and transform innovative ideas into sustainable ventures.With a strong foundation rooted in academic excellence and a future focussed approach, the cell continues to drive economic and social progress through innovation and entrepreneurship.

ACTIVITIES OF ACADEMIC YEAR (2025-2026)

The Research Park proudly hosted the grand inauguration of the Cunnan Innovation and Incubation Cell (CIIC):

"Paving the Way for Future Excellence" on 18th February 2025. The event marked a significant milestone in fostering innovation, research, and entrepreneurship, providing students and faculty with opportunities to develop cutting-edge skills and projects aligned with future-ready technologies."

Cunnan Innovation and Incubation cell signed the MOU with TATTI on 17/03/2025 -To formalize partnership between institutions, industry or Govt. bodies defines roles & responsibilities and collaboration framework for supporting start-ups, mentorship funding, mutual commitment and clarity in achieving cell’s objectives.

The Cunnan Innovation and Incubation Cell (CIIC), in association with TATTI, organized a Faculty Enrichment Program on “IKS Innovation Hub: Bridging Tradition with Technology” on 4th April 2025. The program was attended by 59 staff members, aiming to enhance faculty knowledge and foster innovation by integrating traditional knowledge systems with modern technology.

The Cunnan Innovation and Incubation Cell (CIIC), in collaboration with TATTI, organised a Certificate Course on Machine Learning for 13 final-year students on 28th, 30th, 31st July and 1st, 4th, 6th August 2025, providing hands-on training in core machine learning concepts and practical applications to enhance students’ technical skills and employability.

The Cunnan Innovation and Incubation Cell (CIIC) organised an Orientation Programme on “Entrepreneurial Strategies for Emerging Professionals” on 06th August 2025, with 26 staffs members and 261 students participating, aimed at introducing key entrepreneurial concepts, developing strategic thinking, and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among participants.

The Cunnan Innovation and Incubation Cell (CIIC) organised a one-day Innovation Launchpad Programme titled “From Idea to Impact: Kick Starting Your Startup Vision” on 08th September 2025, with 224 students participating, aimed at fostering entrepreneurial mindset, idea validation, and startup orientation.

The Cunnan Innovation and Incubation Cell (CIIC) and IQAC, in association with TATTI, organised a Faculty Development Programme on “Smart Prompting with AI” on 27th October 2025, with 127 staffs members participating, to enhance faculty awareness of AI tools and prompt-engineering techniques. The programme provided practical insights into the academic and pedagogical applications of AI through interactive sessions and demonstrations, promoting technology-enabled teaching and strengthening industry–institution collaboration.

INAUGURATION OF CUNNAN INNOVATION AND INCUBATION CALL ON 18-FEB-2025

By Chief Guest Mr.Meenakshi Sundaram.D, a renowned AI and IT industry leader, Digital transformation Expert and AI trainer.

The event featured 21 projects from undergraduate and postgraduate students, covering topics like rainwater harvesting, cloud computing, coding, pet care, app development, and more. Students from all departments were encouraged to explore these innovative projects.
