The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of DRBCCC Hindu College was established in 1979 with the aim of developing discipline, leadership, and a spirit of national service among students. Since its inception, the unit has played a significant role in shaping young cadets into responsible citizens committed to nation-building.

The NCC unit was initially led by Major Dr. S. Palani, who served as the Associate NCC Officer from 1979 to 2009, laying a strong foundation for NCC activities in the college. Since 2009, the unit has been guided by Major Dr. S. Senthil Kumar, Associate NCC Officer, who continues to mentor and train cadets through regular parades, leadership programmes, camps, and community service activities.

During the academic year 2025–2026, the NCC cadets of the college achieved commendable success in the certification examinations, with 29 cadets qualifying for the ‘C’ Certificate and 20 cadets qualifying for the ‘B’ Certificate. The NCC unit continues to encourage students to develop discipline, confidence, leadership, and patriotism, preparing them to serve society and the nation with dedication.
