PO1: Educate the students about the process of criminal justice system of India.
PO2: Ability to understand the modus operandi of crimes and the variations
involved in it.
PO3: Develop and use criminological imagination, analyzing crime and justice in
new ways, going beyond common understandings.
PO4: Apply appropriate methodologies in order to conduct analysis and detect
patterns of crime and victimization.
PO5: Students will be able to apply research findings to hypothetical or real case
study situations.
PO6: Development of critical thinking and ethical decision making.
PO7: Apply relevant knowledge and skills to seek solutions to problems that
emerge from the subfields of Criminology as well as from broader
interdisciplinary subfields relating to criminology.

Programme Specific outcomes
PSO1: Capable of demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and understanding
major concepts, theoretical principles and experimental findings in
criminology and its subfields.
PSO2: Ability to understand criminal law, Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal
Procedure and Indian Evidence Act.
PSO3: Ability to develop successful career in research and development,
teaching, correctional institutions, security management, private
investigation.
PSO4: Ability to also develop career in disaster management, non-governmental
Organizations, victim assistance programs, after-care programs, criminal
justice administration.
PSO5: Students will be able to recognize and explain macro-social inequities in
crime and criminal justice processes by race, social class, gender, region
and age.
PSO6: Ability to Locate and consult works in the area to produce a research
paper that is coherent, cogent, and attentive to conventions of the field.
PSO7: Ability to apply theories of crime and criminal justice to explain actual
and hypothetical scenarios, behaviors, and trends.
PSO8: Ability to be a skilled communicator as he/she understands and
reciprocates the concepts and issues dealt under Criminology through
efficient writing and oral skills.
Course outcomes
CO1: Imparted the significance of Human rights, equality, political, equality
about sexual abuse, basic human rights and importance of gender.
CO2: Built a strong sense of unity and team work among the students.
CO3: Imparted guidance for police training program, fire safety and life saver
certificate course. Various skill sets and talents of the students were
identified.
CO4: Importance of situational awareness was imparted and diverse career
opportunities in the field of corporate security were explored.
CO5: Students were made to observe and visit and do internships at various
institutions of Criminal Justice System.
CO6: Students were provided with various physical trainings like drill, parade
training, long jump, high jump, etc.
CO7: Students were provided with Rifle shooting training and rope climbing.
