Paper-I, Prose, Functional Hindi, Letter writing
Course Objective
In Paper-I, Prose, Functional Hindi & Letter writing are taught to highlight the actual description of the society and Functional Hindi makes the student to develop their Vocabulary in the Administrative usage of Hindi in various sectors like Banking, Secretariat and official language Departments.
Course Outcome
By Completion of this course, the students will be able to
1. Develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
2. Understand the ideas and concepts of the great writers
3. Apply the various techniques used in writing letters such as leave letters, complaint letter, official letter, Business and Personal Letters.
4. Analyze the concepts used in the prescribed prose texts.
5. Evaluate the writing techniques used by the prose writers.
6. Create error free official memos, Government orders, Notification, Notice and various forms of official Correspondence
Paper-II- One Act Play, Short story-Translation
Course Objective
In Paper-II, One Act Play, Short story and Translation are taught to highlight the social issues and sceneries in the form of Role Play. Translation helps the students to build their command over Vocabulary and Understanding aspect
Course Outcome
1. Memorize the new vocabulary learnt from translation practice( English to Hindi)
2. Understand to plots, subplots in the One Act Play.
3. Analyze the complex themes in One Act Plays and Short stories.
4. Evaluate the writing techniques used by Play Writers and Short stories writers.
5. To learn the skill of conversation, dialogue writing, Mono writing and enactment.
6. To have competency over the source and target language Hindi and English vice versa.
Paper –III – Ancient poetry, History of Literature Aadi Kaal, Bhakti Kaal, Reeti Kaal
Course Objective
Ancient poetry and History of Literature are taught to analyze the different literary periods and their creative writings that helped to build the ancient and current society.
Course Outcome
By the completion of this Course, the students will be able to
1. Describe the trends in ancient poetry during different literary periods.
2. To Understand the themes and concepts used in poetry.
3. Analyze the poetic elements used by poets like Surdas, Tulasidas, Kabirdas, Raheem, Tiruvalluar etc.
4. Writing essays on prescribed poems.
5. To Understand the Background of the various ages of the History of Hindi literature and their feature and trends.
6. Will be able to learn creativity skill of poems and other literary terms.
Paper- IV – Modern poetry and Hindi literature- Aadhunik Kaal.
Course Objective
Modern poetry and introducing to the History of Hindi literature (Aadhunik Kaal) are taught to analyze the modern different literary periods and the creative writings that helped to build the modern and current society.
Course Outcome
By the completion of this course the students will be able to
1. Describe the literary trends in modern poetry.
2. Understand the characteristics of poetry in different periods
3. Analyze the poetic techniques used by the modern poets.
4. Evaluate the techniques used in short stories and one act plays.
5. Writing Essays on modern writers and their works.
6. Able to Interpret and illustrate concepts of communication, poetry and the Modern History of Hindi literature.
A serial of tests are conducted to analyze the positive, negative, strength and weakness of the students. Proficiency test is conducted to observe and ascertain the proficiency level of the students. Class tests, unit tests, university internal tests highlight the significance of each unit of the syllabus. The obtained score of the students is used to determine the internal marks of the students.
