Programme Outcomes:

PO1: Enable the students to enhance computational skills and mathematical reasoning.

PO2: Formulate, analyze and solve wide variety of problems in Mathematics.

PO3: Students will acquire basic practical skills and technical knowledge along with domain knowledge of different subjects in the science stream.

Programme Specific Outcomes :

PSO1: Provide students sufficient knowledge and skills enabling them to undertake further studies in mathematics and its allied areas on multiple disciplines concerned with mathematics.

PSO2: Develops broad and balanced knowledge and understanding of definitions, concepts, principles and theorems.

PSO3: Enhance the ability of learners to apply the knowledge and skills acquired by them during the programme to solve specific theoretical and applied problems in Mathematics.

PSO4: Familiarize the students with suitable tools of mathematical analysis to handle issues and problems in mathematics and related science.

PSO5: Recognize and appreciate the connections between theory and applications.

PSO6: Encourage the students to develop necessary skills helpful in employment and internships.

Course Outcomes:

CO1 : Introductory topics like classical Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Geometry, Number Theory and Numerical Analysis are taught to apply mathematical concepts and principles to perform computations.

CO2: Subjects like Differential Equations, Transform Techniques, Principles of Mechanics are introduced to improve the subject knowledge of the students for applying mathematics in various other fields of science.

CO3: Abstract nature of specific subjects such as abstract algebra, analysis of both Real and Complex problems have been introduced.

CO4: For advance learning, elective areas of specific subjects such as Graph Theory & Operations Research have been introduced.

CO5: Demonstrate the ability to apply analytical and theoretical skills to solve mathematical problems and to create, use and analyze graphical diagrammatic representation of Mathematical relationships.

CO6: Elective subject C Programming has been introduced to apply technology tools in solving problems.

Measuring the attainment of PO, PSO and CO

The attainment of PO, PSO and CO is measured by internal assessment test, group discussion by students on Mathematics topics and by giving regular assignments and seminars for students.

Level of attainment of PO,PSO and CO

Students completing this programme become well versed in the concepts of basic mathematics and aptitude skills. Completion of this programme will also enable the learners to join teaching profession in primary and secondary schools. This programme will also help students to enhance their employability for government jobs, jobs in banking, insurance and investment sectors, data analyst jobs and jobs in various other public and private enterprises.
