2025 – 2026
The Department of computer science organized a 30 hrs certificate hands on training programme dated 15/07/2025 to 29/07/2027 (6 Days) for the final year computer science students. Students gained knowledge in machine learning and they were trained.
On 04/07/2025, the Department of Computer Science organized a Career Guidance Programme, for final year students. The session was designed to help students understand diverse career paths available after graduation.
The Department conducted the Community Development programme for higher secondary School students on dated 23.06.2025 to 27.06.2025. The Programme was held at Government Higher Secondary school Thandurai, Chennai-72.
The Department organized a seminar on “Python Data Analytics” to equip students with essential data analytics skills using Python on 30/7/2025.
The Department organized a Power Seminar on the Applications of Machine Learning in collaboration with the ICT Academy. The seminar aimed to introduce students to the practical use cases of Machine Learning (ML) in various sector on 6/8/2025.
The Department organized an Inter Department Competition on 1st August 2025 in association with the Institutions Innovation Council (IIC).
Beyond Recruitment: Building Careers through Talent Acquisition.On 22/08/2025, the Department organized a Career Guidance Programme, for final year students. The session was designed to help students understand Building Careers through Talent Acquisition.
The Department organized a 1 Day Workshop on Creating Chatbot held on 13/08/2025 for the final year computer science students.
The Department organized a Power Seminar on the Applications of Data Science in collaboration with the ICT Academy. The students gained knowledge in Data Science, the seminar held on 30/9/2025.
The Department organized the programme Investiture ceremony (Info caudillo) to develop the student’s leadership qualities and skills.

The Department of computer science conducted the Community Development programme for higher secondary School students on dated 01.07.2024 to 05.07.2024. The motto behind conducting the programme is to develop and share the computer knowledge especially to the rural and remote area residential and school students. The Programme was held at Government Higher Secondary school Thandurai, Chennai-72. The certificates were issued to the participating students on the same day.

In celebration of World Wide Web Day on 01/08/2024, The Department of Computer Science organized a comprehensive program in collaboration with Institution Innovation Council for students featuring three key activities: paper presentation, debugging, and poster designing. The aim was to engage students in various aspects of web technology and digital communication.
The program was a success, fostering a deeper appreciation for web technologies among students. It provided a platform for learning, creativity, and practical skill development, aligning with the spirit of World Wide Web Day.

June 2021- May 2022
The Department of Computer Science has organized the Seminar on the topic on “Career Guidance & Importance of Education” chaired by Alumni Students on 31/03/2022 to create awareness to our second year students for the importance of education and how to get Govt. jobs. This seminar promote enhanced knowledge for the students. This Seminar provides a good platform to the students to equip their knowledge to clear the TNPSC group exams. our alumni Mr. P. Sugumar, Junior Assistant, Govt. High School guided the students to prepare the pattern to clear all competitive exams and how to get the government jobs in various departments like Rural(VAO), Junior Assistant in Court and Banking Sector. Our alumni Mr.V. Jayakumar, Asst.Professor, Dept. of Computer Science, Sindhi College insisted to the students to avoid unnecessary usage of mobile phones and he suggested the students to go through different kinds of books to improve IQ and gain knowledge in technical skill.
Name of the chief guest: Mr. Ashokraj Vadivelu ,CEO and Founder of Intelizest consulting Pte Ltd., Singapore. This seminar promotes enhanced knowledge for the students. This Seminar provides a good platform to the students to equip their knowledge in modern technology and current Trends. This seminar guides the students to prepare the projects for final year students. Chief Guest Sri. Ashokraj Vadivelu, CEO, Intelizest Consulting Pte Ltd Singapore insisted on improving knowledge on mathematical skill, python and mobile application development and also discussed importance of customer relationship for easy way to develop data warehouse projects.
The capability building programme organized by our department for the benefit of first year students in the topic communication skill was conducted by NIIT webinar on 27-12-2021. The programme was very useful for our students Mr.Rajasukar from NIIT took the webinar in a very good manner. The message conveyed is very excellent and it’s very useful for our students. Students are interested to learn more about the topic of communication skill. Speaker knowledge of the topic and presentation is very good. The session was interactive and students learned new knowledge from the programme. Overall session was excellent.
A Webinar on the topic “Personality Development Skills “was organized for Second year BSc Computer Science students by the Department of Computer Science, DRBCCC HINDU COLLEGE. The Department of Computer Science invited the Resource person Ms. Soundarya, Tech Mentor, NIIT Limited, and also invited Mr. M. Divakar, Business Executive, NIIT Limited, one who supported to make the program successful. The Resource person explained clearly to the students how to express their strengths and weaknesses. They provide insight into how their personality development can relate to each other.
A Webinar on the topic “Resume Building” was organized for final year BSc Computer Science students by the Department of Computer Science. The department of Computer Science invited the Resource person Mr. N. RAJASUKAR, Tech mentor, NIIT Limited, and also invited Mr. M. Divakar, Business Executive, NIIT Limited, one who supported to make the program successful.
Java Certification Course with collaboration of IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial programme is an initiative by NMEICT MOE Govt. of India.This training programme provided a platform where our students can acquire required knowledge and skills on Java for the benefit our students and their better prospectus.

Swayam – MOOCs provide an affordable and flexible way to learn new skills, advance students' careers and deliver quality educational experiences at scale. Resource person is P. Jayasri Aravinda, final year student in our department and also assisted by A. Rahul, final Computer Science student. 18 Participants attended the webinar from various departments such as English, Statistics, Physics, Corporate secretaryship and also Computer science. The webinar was very informative and it was an interactive session with hands-on practical sessions. participants gained knowledge about the tools, designed a certificate and advertised content in newspapers. Photoshop has created the right platform for the participant to get job opportunities. All the participants actively participated and gained knowledge. E- certificates was sent to all participants
