Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024 January 7th and 8th 2024

The students of 3rd, 2nd and 1st year from BCOM ISM department attended the TAMIL NADU GLOBAL INVESTORS MEET 2024 on January 7th and 8th 2024, conducted at Chennai Trade Centre. With the presence of our Honorable Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin along with Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce Industry ,Consumer Affairs and other foreign delegates at the investors meet, slew of MOU’s worth £1 Trillion were exchanged and mega investments were signed.

One day workshop on “Emerging Trends in International Property Rights: Issues & Challenges 08/01/2024

The Department of B.COM ISM organized a One day workshop on “Emerging Trends in International Property Rights: Issues & Challenges held on 08/01/2024 at DRCCC Hindu College. The resource person of the program was Sri. A. Raja, Deputy Controller of Patents and Design, IPO. The workshop featured engaging sessions and discussion to educate participants on various aspects of IPR.

Our department recently celebrated the auspicious festival of Pongal with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event was a wonderful opportunity for our team to come together and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our country. The festivities included traditional Pongal cooking, where everyone contributed to preparing delicious sweet and savory dishes. Additionally, we organized cultural performances, including dance and music, which added to the festive ambiance. It was heartening to see the entire department participate.

WORKSHOP ON APP DEVELOPMENT & PHOTOSHOP

The Workshop for Android App Development and Photoshop was held for 4 days (06/08/2019 - 09/08/2019). In this Program, The Students trainer, trained the students on Developing an Android App using MIT for the II and III year students and also the student trainers gave tutorials about Designing of Invitation, Designing of Banner, Designing of Certificates, Basics of 3D, Photo filters, Making of a passport sized photos for the I year students using Photoshop.
The Valedictory function for both these Workshops were Conducted on the RJB seminar hall on 13/08/2019.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT - AUTO TECH

The final year students of B.Com(ISM) have visited Auto Tech Industry India Pvt. Ltd, Gummudipundi on September 13, 2019. They gained an exposure about how they assemble the Parts that were manufactured in their industry.

SEMINAR ON CAMPUS TO CORPORATE BY NIIT

The Department of B.com[ISM] had organized a guest lecture on Campus to Corporate and the resource persons came from NIIT - Ambattur on 17/08/2019. The Seminar held at the Class Room from 3PM to 5:30PM. The Students actively participated the seminar and gained knowledge.

The Department of Information Systems Management conducted a short term Certificate course on Photoshop for 6 days (24.07.2019 - 31.07.2019) for the students of Corporate Secretary department .The Photoshop course was tutored by,.BARNABA ISSAC and BHARATHIDHASAN of B.COM ISM. 25 students participated in the course. On the valedictory function certificates were distributed to the participants by the Principal Dr.V.Lakshmi.

On the day of Investiture Ceremony, The Department had organized a “Heart of Giving” Programmed which is a novel and noble thought in the History of the College. The programmed was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. V. Lakshmi and the Director Dr. N. Rajendra Naidu on the same day at 11.30pm.

On July 12th, 2019, the Department of B.Com (Information System Management) has conducted the “Tech Primo - Investiture Ceremony” for the academic year 2019-2020. The programme had commenced around 2.30 pm at Seethamma Hall.The“Tech Primo” is the forum inaugurated in the year 2014 with a motto” to inculcate leadership qualities in students and to hone their creative skills.

The Department of Information System Management initiated to create Wall Of Tech- Primo 2.O with three disciplines of Commerce, Management and Information Technology. The idle classroom walls of B.Com ISM classes were converted in the year 2018 as Wall of Tech Primo and then it was Upgraded into a conceptual framework by creating diagrammatic representations on various disciplines. Wall of Tech Primo 2.O was unveiled by Dr.V.Lakshmi, Principal and Dr. N.Rajendra Naidu, Director R&D

The Department Of B.com[ISM] Organized One day Seminar on LOGISTICS AND SHIPPING on 30/11/2019. The Resource persons came from the INDIAN INSTITUTE OF LOGISTICS. Students actively participated the seminar and gained knowledge.

The Department of Information Systems Management conducted a course on Photoshop for 5 days (23/12/2019 – 30/12/2019) for the students of Shift-I .The Photoshop course was tutored by,.BARNABA ISSAC and BHARATHIDHASAN of B.COM (ISM).

We have conducted a five days workshop on 2D Vector animation for 1st years on date 07/01/2020-11/01/2020.

On 5th February, 2020 Department of B. Com ISM has conducted Tech Primo Socio – Fete 2K20 and theme was based on Social Awareness for the students from various colleges. Both On-stage and Off-stage events were conducted successfully. Students participated in various events such as Sand Cast, D-Maestro, Wreck Montage, Singapenney, a ground event was added in list which is exclusively for the girl students. And the event was successfully conducted. Winners for the events were awarded and Overall Championship was won by Jaya College.

The Department of B.COM ISM conducted Webinar on python automation 09-06-2020 for the final year students of B.com ISM by IFANDFOR ENDEAVOURS for UG, PG and all students who explore learning. With growing need of Python programming and its applicability, we organised this webinar to get benefited.

The Department of B.COM ISM conducted two days career guidance programme on 22.01.2021 and 23.01.2021 for the final year students of B.com ISM by the Alumni students of B.Sc(ISM) batch (2010-2013). INVESTITURE CEREMONY

On September 3rd 2021,the department of B.com [Information systems management] has conducted the "Tech Primo-Investiture ceremony"for the academic year 2021-2022 Pinning the Badge ceremony for the New Office Bearers of the Department was conducted by Principal Dr.(Smt)G.Kalvikkarasi and the Director Dr.N.Rajendra Naidu (R & D). The department infiated to create the social awareness on "Vaccination through a song laungh and named as "vazhvai matrum thadup oosi". The chief guest M.N. Karunamoorthy (A) Sai Krishnan Founder and Managing Trustee appreciated our office bearers and he encouraged the students to do social activities.

CERTIFICATE COURSE ON PROGRAMMING IN JAVA

The Department of B.COM ISM conducted certificate courses in Java programming from 24/01/2022 to 29/01/2022 for the final year students of B.com ISM by IFANDFOR ENDEAVOURS. 27 students were enrolled for this course. 5 days Photoshop Workshop

The Department of Information Systems Management conducted a 5 day add on course on Photoshop from (14/3/2022 – 18/3/2022) for the students of I B.Com ISM and Students of II B.Com ISM .The Photoshop course was tutored by students of III B.COM (ISM). On the Day of Valedictory Session our Alumni of 2012-15 Batch Mr.Yesurajan Sebastian Lead HR, NexInfo Solutions honored and distributed certificates to the participants and trainers.

C2 M College school Interaction programme

The Department of Information Systems Management conducted the event C2M which is based on commerce, computers and management pavilion theme. The programme started with the Heart Of Giving opening ceremony by Director, Dr N Rajendra Naidu and by the Principal Dr. G Kalvikkarasi followed by the three pavilions opening ceremony were also done by them. The programme was organized for school students. Around 50 students in and around Chennai were participated in this programme The programme wrapped up with the valedictory session with the Chief Guest Mr. Srivathson Ramesh, Chartered Accountant, AdConSer Pvt Ltd.

FIVE DAYS WORKSHOP ON PHOTOSHOP CC 2019

The Department of Information System Management conducted 5 days add on Photoshop from (25/7/ 2022 to 29/7/2022) for the students of I B.Com ISM The Photoshop course was tutored by the students of III B.Com ISM and II B.Com ISM. Mr.Ranjith Selvamani Alumnus of B.Com ISM team manager of Tata Consultancy service honored the Valedictory Session.

HATSUN AGRO PRODUCTS PVT LTD

The final year students of B.com(ISM) has visited Hatsun Agro Products Pvt Ltd The trip started from college at 9:00AM and reached the destination at 11:00 AM. They followed a formal presentation by the H.R. Manager of Hatsun Agro Products, followed by the activities such as, Quality control, Packing, cooling and Despatch Sections.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAMME

The Department of BCOM ISM has organized a Community Education Programme on 19/10/2022 at Mamandur Government High School, Thiruvallur district. The programme was carried over by our final year students with the framed modules on the basics of computer skills with the guidance of the staff members. The student trainers taught the 43 students of standard 6th to 9th classes with the proper ICT Tools. The Head Master of the school, Mr.Bakthavatchalam, appreciated this effort and the students of the school also gave a very positive feedback for this community education programme. All the school students were appreciated with a certificate from our college.

FIVE DAYS WORKSHOP ON PHOTOSHOP

The Department of Information System Management conducted 5 days Add on Course Photoshop from (05/09/2022 to 09/09/2022) for the students of B.Com (Corporate Secretaryship). The Photoshop course was tutored by the students of III B.Com ISM and II B.Com ISM.

College School Interaction Programme

The Department of B.Com - (Information Systems Management) conducted C2M V2.0, An Event which is based on 3 Disciplines of the Department Namely Commerce, Computer and Management. 3 Pavilions where displayed to showcase the importance and create awareness among School Students. Around 120 School Students in and around Thiruvallur district participated in this Programme.The Programme was wrapped up with an valedictory session with the Chief Guest Dr. R. Rajkumar, M.Sc,B.Ed.,Ph.d Headmaster , DRBCCC Higher Sec. School, Perambur, Chennai.

The Department of Information System Management conducted Orientation programme for I B.COM (ISM) on 19/06/2023 in Seethamma Hall.

The Department of Information System Management conducted "Train the Trainer Course" for the students of the first-year B.Com (ISM). This Photoshop course was tutored by the II and III year ISM students from July 12–18, 2023, for 5 days.

On 27/7/2023 Ms. Kavitha Natarajan, Founder YogaStithi (Holistic Wellness for all) Social Entrepreneur International Yoga Trainer, Counseling Psychologist CSR Consultant honored the Investiture Ceremony and Valedictory Session.

Students of Saveetha School of Management along with their team explained about the idea generation and research methods to find the market area in which they are ready to start the business. Students actively participated and engaged throughout the session

Measuring the attainment of PO, PSO and CO

The attainment of PO, PSO and CO is measured through internal assessments, conducting workshops, guest lectures, internship training to students and conduct of case study analysis, discussion and team tasks. In general, on a whole the attainment of these standards are assured by general emphasis on theoretical and practical concepts and their applicability.

Become a well versed computer professional as well as a management professional. PSO: Enhancement of leadership quality and managerial proficiency. CO Marked improvement in employability skills on 3 major disciplines viz., management, computer science and commerce.
