Program Outcome-PO

PO1: Familiarization with financial statements and accounting reports.

PO2: Analysis of monetary transactions: Study the monetary transactions in journals, ledgers and other such subsidiary books.

PO3: Analyze the financial position of the organizations.

PO4: Understand the financial transactions among various organizations and learning the art of book-keeping.

PO5: Analyze the scope and importance of foreign trade and foreign exchange.

PO6: Contribution to Accounting and Financial Systems: Contribute to the innovation, development and creativity in tracing and accounting financial transactions.

Program Specific Outcome –PSO

PSO1: Perceive the close linkage and correlation of Finance and Accounting with subjects such as Commerce, Economics and Business Administration.

PSO2: Cope-up with the emerging trends of accounting in modern world.

PSO3: Develop perceptions of the specialized, fool proof and verifiable methods of Accounting and Finance.

PSO4: Maintain Accounts independently; identify the strong points and the deficiencies of the accounting system.

PSO5: Neglect the arithmetical procedures and acquire mathematical knowledge essential for accounting.

PSO6: Understand the allied fields of taxation and auditing.

Course Outcomes - CO

CO1: Deal with the accounting system very efficiently.

CO2: Develop a keen insight into the aspects of financial transactions.

CO3: Maintain financial records and sheets scientifically and systematically.

CO4: Develop the ability to meet the changing requirements of accountancy and standardize the procedures of accounting.

CO5: Acquire competence to identify and weed out the corrupt methods, tax evasions and anti-accounting values.

CO6: Record micro and the macro accounts efficiently.

Measuring the attainment of PO, PSO and CO

The curriculum is designed in such a way as to develop and measure the accounting skills of the students. It includes the theoretical part and the practical aspects of finance and accounts. The internal assessments tests give equal due and coverage to both the theory and practice he students are encouraged to undergo real time projects. Oral tests, quiz program and group discussions are also useful in measuring the attainment of PO, PSO and CO. The students knowledge and performance in accounting and book-keeping is assessed in the commerce laboratory too.

Level of attainment of PO, PSO and CO

PO: Become professional accountants and financial administration.

PSO: Get employment with banking, marketing, insurance and expert and import sectors.

CO: Attain the ability to maintain accounts accurately, neatly, honestly, transparently, verifiably and professionally.
