Department Activities-June 2019
Mrs Sangeetha Balaji (Mentoring Consultant) conducted one day placement training to Second Year M.Com
students about fulfillment of Self Actualization needs and Self esteem needs in the current scenerio
on 19-07-2019.
Mr Rajan, Senior Executive Officer, NSE conducted a special session on Investment in Mutual Funds
and Various Investment avenues for Small Investors on 07-08-2019
On 05-02-2020, Mr Naresh(Corporate Trainer) of FINMARK conducted Orientation training on Securities
Operations and Risk Management and Computer Support Associate training to Second Year Students
Course Outcomes (CO)
CO - 1 : Maintained financial accounting record scientifically and systematically.
CO - 2 :Develop the ability to underground commercial trends.
CO - 3 :Observe, analyze and interpret commerce and accounting.
CO - 4 : Deal with the accounting system very efficiently.
CO - 5 :Acquire the competence to identify and weedout the concept, methods, tax evasion and
anti accounting system.
CO - 6 :Become competent accountants and attain the ability to audit different types of
audit.
Program Outcomes (PO)
PO – 1 :After completing three years for Bachelors in Commerce (B.Com) program, students
would gain a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of Commerce and Finance.
PO – 2 :The Commerce and Finance focused curriculum offers a number of specializations and
practical exposures which would equip the student to face the modern-day challenges in Commerce and
Business.
PO -3 : The all-inclusive outlook of the course offers a number of value based and job
oriented courses ensures that students are trained up-to-date. In advanced accounting courses beyond the
introductory level, affective development will also progress to the valuing and organization levels.
Program Specific Outcomes(PSO)
PSO – 1: Students will learn relevant financial accounting career skills, applying both
quantitative and qualitative knowledge to their future careers in business.
PSO – 2: Students will learn relevant managerial accounting career skills, applying both
quantitative and qualitative knowledge to their future careers in business.
PSO – 3: Learners will gain thorough systematic and subject skills within various
disciplines of Commerce, business, accounting, economics, finance, auditing and marketing.
PSO – 4: Learners will be able to recognise features and roles of businessmen,
entrepreneurs, managers, consultants, which will help learners to possess knowledge and other soft skills
and to react aptly when confronted with critical decision making.
PSO – 5: Learners will be able to prove proficiency with the ability to engage in
competitive exams like CA, CS, ICWA and other courses.
PSO – 6: Learners will be involved in various co-curricular activities to demonstrate
relevancy of foundational and theoretical knowledge of their academic major and to gain practical exposure.
PSO – 7: Learners will be able to do higher education and advance research in the field of
Commerce and Finance.
