The Artificial Intelligence (AI) department was founded in 2023-24 affiliated to University of Madras with the mission to advance the field of AI and to educate and train the next generation of AI researchers and practitioners. The duration of the degree is three years. The department offers a variety of programs and initiatives to support students and faculty from underrepresented backgrounds, and it is working to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. With its world-class faculty, talented students, and commitment to diversity and inclusion, the AI department is well-positioned to continue to make significant contributions to the field of AI for many years to come.
