History

Electoral literacy club was started in January 2018, this club was started with the team of student, who had been selected as a MANNIKA MANNAVAR of the college. Electoral literacy club is setup in the country to promote the electoral literacy among all age groups of the Indian citizens. This club engages the people through interesting activities and hands-on experience but in an a political, neutral and non-partisan manner .

Electoral literacy clubs are set up in collages especially targeting the new voters of age-group 18-21. The main objectives of this club is to educate the targeted populations about voter registration, election process and matters related to election to facilitate voter registration for its eligible members who are not yet registered. The main work is to create awareness about election process.

By joining in this club will entrusted the responsibility of creating awareness an developing the practice of ethical electoral participation was vital for the future of democracy.

MISSION

To educate the targeted populations about voter registration, electoral process and related matters through hands on experience

To familiarize the targeted populations with EVM and VVPAT and to educate them about robustness of EVM and integrity of the electoral process using EVMs

To help the target audience understand the value of their vote to ensure that they exercise their suffrage right in a confident, comfortable and ethical manner

To harness the potential of ELC members for carrying the electoral literacy in communities

To facilitate voter registration for its eligible members who are not yet registered
